I came across Kyle Hausmann-Stokes, for an excellent account of Kyle’s story please visit DIY-Film Part 1 and Part 2, autobiographical film, “Now, After”, while perusing the IAVA (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America) Alumni message boards. He was announcing a casting call for veterans needed to appear in a PSA (Public Service Announcement) he was producing for the VA. I was intrigued and sought out Kyle’s production company, blue three productions, to find out more about Kyle and his role in spreading the message about veterans’ mental health needs. I wasn’t expecting to find a film student project that vividly captures the essence of what living with combat induced PTSD is like.
